    Learning Self-Hypnosis

    The fastest and easiest way to learn is with a professional hypnotherapist, through a personal visit. If you tell your hypnotherapist this is what you want to learn, she/he will give you a specific suggestion while you're in hypnosis that you'll easily be able to replicate whenever you wish to.

    First of all the hypnotherapist will guide you into relaxation - hypnosis - then give you what is called a 'post-hypnotic suggestion', so that you can attain hypnosis again whenever you choose to by repeating the post-hypnotic suggestion to yourself.

    Creating your own self-hypnosis script is also very easy and effective when you follow a few simple guidelines. Recording your own script may be even more powerful as your subconscious tunes into the sound of your own voice!

    Your own self-recorded script will work extremely well for straightforward relaxation and overcoming unhelpful habits. For more deep-rooted emotional issues, it's always advisable to consult a qualified hypnotherapist and your medical practitioner first.

    There are basically 2 steps to self-hypnosis:
    1. Inducing an 'altered state' or trance - called an induction.
    2. Using a carefully worded suggestion that becomes a reality through the subconscious processes
