Reduce Stress and Promote Well BeingLife today for most of us is busy, busy, busy, and while we manage to cope with the all the demands made upon us, most of the time, there are times when we may become overwhelmed by pressures or feel exhausted. (Hypnosis instant stress relief) When this happens we say that we are stressed - but what is stress exactly? It's our immediate reaction to perceived danger. Our lower brain mechanisms are much the same as when we were living as cave men and women. When we perceive a dangerous situation, the brain sends out a message that immediately fires up our fight or flight response hormones enabling us to act spontaneously. All non-essential mental and physical functions are diverted to the fight or flight response mechanisms - this is so that all energy can be diverted to the muscles for a quick escape. This automatic reaction works very well when you're being chased by a tiger, but what about when you're sitting in a traffic queue, late for that meeting? Herein lies the problem - we react much the same to modern day situations as though they were life-threatening events, which of course they are not.
When the stress response remains elevated for lengthy periods of time, such as when we feel anxious (fearful), this can have a detrimental effect upon our health. Physical symptoms may arise such as back pain, irritable bowel and tiredness - but it also lowers our immune function and may even contribute to heart disease. Hypnosis is wonderful in helping you to relieve stress and tension in your body and mind. Getting into a helpful frame of mind where you can improve your mood can be near impossible once you're into the stress cycle. This is where hypnosis can help by training your brain to recognise when you're becoming stressed about a situation and take positive steps to manage your stress before it spirals out of control.
Therefore the best way to manage stress and prevent health problems arising is by employing some form of relaxation; that may be yoga, meditation, gardening or simply taking a walk in a peaceful setting. Whichever you chose, hypnosis is an extremely powerful way to keep your life in balance and reduce stressful situations from occurring, is something everyone can do and takes just 15 to 20 minutes to practise. Daily practise is most beneficial of course but even if you can only manage 2 or 3 times per week you'll notice an incredible benefit and an improvement to how you normally react in certain situations. » Take the Stress Test » When Modern Medicine Failed |
